2007 Wedding Trends
Location, Location, Location!
I am sure you have heard that location is everything. Well, this can be very true when it comes to planning your wedding day. Years ago brides were more confined to conventional locations such as their neighborhood church and the local banquet hall.
Now, couples have broken free and looked for more unique locations to share their vows. Couples can be married on the side of a mountain, at the bottom of the sea, aboard a ship or a remote island. These locations are a great way to really personalize your event. In many instances, couples combine their vows with their honeymoon and have family join them in the extension of the celebration.
Unusual reception venues will also continue to be the rave. City lofts for an urban feel, to vineyard fantasy. The locations come with added emotion and a themed look all ready built in. Just make sure when selecting on of these venues to check space for guests, parking conveniences and there are enough restroom facilities.
Mix it Up
Couples are using their freedoms to change up the look of their wedding; from the 2 pieces bridesmaid dress designs, to varying color shades. In 2007 you will continue to see multi-color bridal parties. This option is not only a fabulous way to create visual interest, its perfect to ensure a great fit for your attendants. Centerpieces are no longer 30 cookie-cutter pieces. Couples are adding various heights, sizes and designs to create magnificent table tops. “Mixing it Up” not only gives you a high end designer look to your event, by it comes with minimal added expense.
Flower Power
Now, its not new that flowers have gone from white to bold, or that any shape, size or type of flower can be used. What 2007 will bring, it the continued expansion of flowers in everything. Flowers as a main headpiece combined with a petal veil will make the perfect accessory for any style dress. Flowers take a cake from plain to powerful. Look for flowers to make an appearance to enhance reception chairs and become sculpted event elements.
Anything that Sparkles
“Diamonds are forever.” Well, in the wedding market is Swarovski crystal. These beautiful cut stones made their way onto the scene several years ago and they are here to stay. Originally, being white or iridescent in color, these stones are now available in a wide variety of shapes and colors. They are being added to tiaras, bouquet jewelry, necklaces, veils and more. Adding these sparkling stones to your event will only help you shine and is any easy way to carry your color scheme throughout your wedding day accessories.
